When I recently visited Race Street Pier, I just wanted to stand still for 10 minutes and take in the sight. It’s amazing that you can see this beautiful view, while still being in the heart of Philadelphia. Overlooking the DE River Waterfront, this pier is composed of several benches and small lawn spaces that allow for a perfect picnic- or even just a place to decompress from your hectic life.
Race Street Pier is also right next to Morgan’s pier, so you can easily grab food and drinks depending on when you visit. If you want more of a relaxing experience, you can participate in the free yoga sessions on Race Street Pier presented by Aetna. This is something that I just learned about, but it seems pretty awesome! For more information, click here.
I’ve driven back and forth on the Ben Franklin Bridge dozens of times, since my hometown in located in New Jersey. However, I definitely have a greater appreciation for this landmark since I’ve visited Race Street Pier. If you’re looking for a cool place to visit while in Philly, definitely move this to the top of your list!
Shoes: Steve Madden (I got these last year, but have linked a similar pair from Aldo here. I did see someone selling this exact pair on Poshmark!)
